This August began as any other summer month -- air conditioning, the occasional cook outs with friends, and enjoying the heat while outdoors. But the normalcy didn't last long! (thank goodness!)
In the middle of August we had wonderful guests come and bless us with their presence. Dan and Laura brought themselves with their cute little ones - Cade and Alex. We had a few
excellent meals and a few tears, but all in all it was really fun! Dave got to go to Kings Island with Dan, Laura, Kristina and Brett.

After that, we made our way down to KY for a spell and saw family and went to Dave's 10 yr High School reunion - woo. Yay for Pendleton County High School.
But we got to see Conner!!
Not too soon after that it was our Anniversary! August 21st, 6 yrs ago was a special day. We were sealed in the Nauvoo Temple for time and all eternity - Yay for marriage. I can't say that That day in 2003 was my favorite day, because truly, we've had so many more wonderful days since then... but it may go down in history as being one of the more important ones that have made ALL the difference.
Towards the end of the month, our son started SCHOOL! It was very exciting! He was, like his father, incessantly prepared. He's a bright kid with a broad future. He's reading and writing and even starting mathmatics. I am excited for what the rest of the year will entail!
